John Daniel Southern African Young Scholars Publishing Grant

Transformation, an internationally accredited journal established in 1986, is seeking to publish the work of young Social Sciences and Humanities scholars in the southern African region. The journal is offering a grant of R5,000.00 in memory of the late John Daniel, a respected colleague and former editor. Contributions accepted through the journal’s peer review process from authors under the age of 35 will be eligible for the grant.

Young scholars are invited to submit original high quality articles of not more than 8000 words, based on either their thesis or other recently completed research. The journal welcomes articles of a critical nature, across disciplines. We are interested in articles concerned with any aspect of transformation in the southern African region; including those addressing processes of discrimination and exploitation, and to ways of resisting and addressing discriminatory and/or explotative policies, processes and agents.

Please mention in your submission mail to the editors that this is to be considered for our John Daniel Southern African Young Scholars Publishing Grant. Awards will only be made to authors who request their articles are submitted under this publishing grant.
